Born in 1907 in Carnac, Guillevic was one of the major poets of our time, with a stripped-down, crystalline and strong work, translated into more than forty languages.
Poetry allowed him to tame the disturbing state of things. His language was precise, uncluttered and worked on in short texts. A critic once described his poetry as sharp and brilliant as a Breton rock. Guillevic died in Paris in 1997.
These images represent a modest contribution in tribute to the talent of this man.
